It was only yesterday,
You frowned and looked away.
Like it was only yesterday,
I remember you say,
We will always be friends,
Stay together till the end.
Such a lie I never heard,
but back then it never occured
to me, that you were not the friend,
I though you would be.
***I thought I'd find love, companionship.
I was looking for care, in you deep dark eyes.
But no where in our relationship
did you sympathize.
I thought I found a friend,
who would never forget to call.
But you were not the friend
I imagined at all.***
I know this is really harsh,
But you broke my heart.
This good bye is such a must,
'Cause you broke my trust.
Now this chance, I take,
For our friendship, I brake.
You never liked me any way,
You didn't even have to say.
Oh, I just can't see
how, You were never the friend
I thought you would be.
