I'm free down in the pit Release me unto a million blows In here we all throw a fit So fast the chaos and panic grows Spinning webs to catch decay Circle around to escape ourselves We fall down tangled in pain Trampled, broken, and bruised as hell
Comfort gives way to wild Who says that peace is mild
The flames are kissing my flesh I feel the blisters are bubbling They pus up, pop, and peel Then heal again for new suffering This eternal bath does not cleanse I melt away into everything A puddle left at the feet Of the one who has nothing
We sway, the crowd goes wild For today we're born hell's child
Freedom sits Down in the pit Down in the pit Down in the pit

Hi, Jason. Your poem is very discriptive and unsettling. I don't want the pit or that kind of freedom. You do a fine job of writing. I will be back to read your other poems. Bizzy |

The starting eight lines are great...I liked it. Good work!
