The Deadly Tree

The Wonderful Tree
The tree in my yard
is where i spent my time
I used to read beside it
and it was really fun to climb.
Daddy would get mad
and say mean things to me
like,"Why are you my daughter?"
and,"What's up with that tree?"
But still I played by this tree
where I'd sit and I'd swing
and other times when I'd get bored
this is where I'd sing.
Til one day, daddy said
"You're just another face to feed,"
"You're bugging me,and you're just another person
that I really don't need."
So I thought it was true
I thought that dad was right
Then I decided this would be
my very last night.
The very next day
dad went to the tree
to see if he
could apologize to me.
He bent down
and found a note
it was something special
that I had wrote.
When he began to read this
he started turning red
then he started crying
for this is what it said...
"This tree is where I read."
"This tree is where I sang."
"This tree is where I had my fun."
"Now this tree is where I hang."
