The search for an identity
An insight into my soul
The difficulty in understanding
The person I am as a whole.
Why i get so angry
At the people that I love
And what exactly I believe
About my father above?
Why am I attracted
To people in need
Is it a lack of self-esteem?
Or to feed an emotional greed?
What are those elements of my life
Those things that make me tick?
What gets my emotions moving?
What makes my principals stick?
But do I really want to analyse
These things that make me, me?
Or should I just enjoy it
And be happy with what I can see?
But that is the problem
Why am I not satisfied?
Is it a yearning to be taught
Or in reality is my heart being defied?
