I'm 19 years old....

Contributed by cryingonmyporch on Wednesday, 27th August 2003 @ 07:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I'm 19 years old
and tonight I layed down in my bed,
wishing I was dead,
Praying that I could take back what all I had said.

I'm 19 years old and today I woke up knowing
that this life inside me was growing,
And somewhere inbetween the lines I was lost,
but found and saved in some other type of way.

I'm 19 years old I have no Job,
I have no life,
But I'm a mother
And another statistic of Mexicana's in this world.

I'm 19 years old and as I stand at the top of this bridge and stare down at my world
I want to jump!
Take this leap and make myself dead.
Make all of it end.

I'm 19 years old and I'm wondering if when I'm 38 if my baby won't be at home laying in bed wishing they were dead.

I'm 19 years old and driving myself crazy thinking of tomorrow.
When I haven't even made it thru today.

I am 19 years old too and I can understand what you are writing about, even though I am not a mother. Quote - "I'm 19 years old and driving myself crazy thinking of tomorrow.
When I haven't even made it thru today." - This is so true. Great poem! Keep going, don't give up.
