Looking down an endless road
Nowhere to run
Nowhere to hide
Shadows stalking you ceaselessly
Giving you nightmares
Giving you fears
You run and you run
Till you can run no more
You look behind,
And still they follow you
Everywhere
What will you do?
Stay?
Or go?
Followed eternally
By shadows so tall
You stop
And you watch
As they quickly catch up
You stare at them angrily
Afraid no more
For they are just shadows
And nothing more
They shall do nothing
For they are your own.
