As the Angels Watch Silently...

The satin fabric flows gently, The wings of the dove, The passages of time eat away, As the angels watch silently from above...
Brother pitted against brother, Father, against son, And mother against father, As the moon hides from the sun...
The end is creeping nearer, As we forget the meaning of love, And the heavens begin to weep for peace, As the angels watch silently from above...
And time will lose all meaning, The hawk will out-fly the dove, And fear shall strike the hearts of men, As the angels, weep quietly for love...

Ravenblack,
I want you to know that this is one of the most beautiful poems I've ever read. The ending was just perfectly said. Set the whole poem up and then the emotionally climax, and what a thrilling poem you just wrote. "As the angels weep quietly for love, but there is none to be found...and that Ravenblack is why the end will come...before man completely destroys himself.
I'm going to print this one out! Beautifully done!
