This is what it came to
A pocketful of memories
And a handful of dust.
I got the Psychedelic Furs albums
and a decade of mistrust.
The T.V. for me
The fridge for you
I loved you like a sister
But I always stayed true
(Which is more than can be said for you)
I stood by you when things were rough
Just like I was supposed to.
As time progressed it got tough
But I always thought that much was due.
Time went past and you found another love
(Again)
Believe it or not I was happy for you.
No not happy...relieved
Because I have found love thats true.
You are out of my life I am glad to say
As I have finally found my one true love
I never thought that I would find her
And for that I thank the lord above.
Good luck to you I wish you well
My priorities lie elsewhere
For I am in love with an angel
She is the only one for whom I care.
