I'm screaming the scream of a maniac
Trapped in this blanket of nothingness
Wanting to tear my eyes out
Because the grip is so intense
It starts to close in on me
Whether in my minds eye or reality
I know not, but the vision is terrifying
I crawl within myself and collapse
I try, I cry, I die,
I beg, I fight, I flail uselessly
It has me in its iron grip
Tear me open, defecate, self mutilate
This nothingness shrouds me in its terror
Sweep up, pan out focus on my cuts
Watch as my screams fall at my feet, empty
I'm screaming the scream of a maniac

this is so strong.. i love your discrete use of rhyme. I liked this line:
Tear me open, defecate, self mutilate
