Surrounded by your cold enterprise Of freedom you exist inside The references of your domain Reciting loves poetic phrase So many words said and done Truth is twisted between your lies To keep things under your control While I dangle helplessly You smile and keep me hanging on Trapped inside your hungry heart You suck on love until it dies Leaving me to drown in tears Admonish me for what I am While you stay in your dark disguise Safe in your province of seclusion Where none can touch you Shielding the heart of stone inside Cold welcome to my love So freely given from the start To a stranger without a heart

Absolutely beautiful. I've been where your poem leds poeple. Trapped behind a cold damp wall, thinking that everything would be okay if I kept everyone at a distance. I had barely a heart left in my chest. You are a wonderful writer! |
