With Every Gust of Wind...

Contributed by Stalkee on Friday, 5th September 2003 @ 07:35:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I took my pictures of you, I took 'em down
Feels like I climbed a mountain, just to fall back down
Seems to me, the one chance I had I destroyed,
one shot to be really happy for once...and didn't take it
It's ironic how when I know somebody likes me,
that I don't feel the same, 'til it's too late...

And what are they all for?
All these poems that I have written
And all the sweet dreams that I've dreamt
they always had something to do with you,
but I guess every one of those things,
were just all for nothing...

And now I'm writing through my tears...
As I think of that night that I fell in love with you,
it was on a starry night on the corner of your street,
there was a little gust of wind when it all happened
And now with every gust of wind that I feel,
I get that feeling...that feeling of love for you

So much longing and heartfelt tears went into this poem. Always remember that heartbreak doesn't last forever, but your love will. It morph into a love for someone else and be twice as powerful as before. Love this poem!
