Were it in my power
To give you happiness
I would put joy in your heart
Give your soul a sweet caress
Were it in my power
To make you my wife
I would cherish every moment
Every heartbeat in our life
Were it in my power
To inspire your lovely heart
I would spend all my time
Dedicated to that art
Were it in my power
To move you the woman I adore
I would fan the flames of desire
Ignite your passions once more
Were it in my power
To reveal to you my soul
There you would find
Your love is in control
And were it in my power
You would always hear
Sweetest words of love and devotion
Whispered in your ear
