I know I can't feel your pain
I haven't lived your life
you feel there's nothing to gain
but loneliness and strife
your someone I truly adore
I can't bare to see you like this
what happend to this person before
that person is who I miss
I know that things have happened
bad ones to say the least
but I don't want your life blackened
don't want your sense of despair increased
I want to be there for you
like you were always there for me
you were the one who helped me through
you were the one that set me free
I'd give anything for you
just let me help
depression you've imbued
depression darker than kelp
I know its hard to trust anyone now
please don't make it sound like the end
but I'll be there for you somehow
forever as your friend

Dear Pompous I haven't had the privilege yet of commenting on any of your poems, but if this one is anything like the rest....this one has to be your best!
It was kind, loving, touching, filled with fellow feeling for a friend! I hope she responded to you...and realized it was not her end!
