A Response to Your Letter

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

You havent been here for so long,

So long have I waited

I was wandering on the desert, lost in the labyrinth

Of my own dreams; everything that was, was you.

Once you were a light from a star,

That night two millions of stars sang about us;

There was a day that every dream about you was a little cloud,

Like a good friend blizzard whispered to my ear about you;

Not so long ago I wanted to change my feelings for you into wind,

And walls blocking my mind had to lay down under its strength;

One time you were a tear,

I cried all night to feel your sensitive touch on my lips;

Recently you were a brick of my happiness,

And I built a wall of loneliness around me;

When you whispered to me like a song did for a long time,

Butterflies wrote your words, ocean gave the rhymes, moonlight composed the music;

Fortunately I didnt have to worry anymore,

You arrived, I fell for you for the hundred and first time.

I gave you the most beautiful smile my soul had ever seen,

It came to you, sat on your shoulder and whispered about something to you ear

Just to make you laugh, it didnt want anything in return,

But you rejected it, remained in your Stoic calm.

I suggested we could go for a walk in the direction of our destiny,

So we could secretly steal fruits from the garden of passion,

You didnt respond, I asked you to go with me
To the edge of Eden, high to the stars,

So the time never existed, I didnt hear even a word from you;

Even lit candles, favorite music, romantic atmosphere

And the whole night for us, everything perfect and wonderful

Didnt help you express your feelings for me;

Then I tried to surround you by safeness and dreams,

Let you exist

In the silence of infinite passion,

You remained indifferent;

I didnt know what to do; I was going crazy,

My thoughts tried to suggest my heart that it was over,

That you had forgotten

For the last time I wanted to touch and feel your skin, sensitive

Like rose petals in the ocean of imagination;
And then I understood,

I noticed my mistake,

I knew why

Even a rain of kisses and storm of sweet little lies wouldnt help;

Why? Mainly because

You still were thousands of miles from me and

And I was stroking your cheek on the photograph

You were the one tonight - to bring tears to my eyes. This is the sweetest, most romantic, downright most adorable verse I have read in ages. That last line made this such a special read - my heart goes out to you. You have left us so curious as to where you are that she is so far away. Your poem is so well written and well thought out and it just kicks butt!! Welcome to YPDC and please, please I must read more of your work!!!
Thanks for sharing!
