because

Contributed by broken-glass on Tuesday, 9th September 2003 @ 02:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Grief

You feel it below the waist
the belts that life can blow.
Another rose dies and withers away,
the reason we do not know.

Everything carries on
this is because it must.
The decomposed Pigeon is gone
what a way to combust.
Still waiting for an answer.....

Oh how tragic, how sad, and no answers will ever come!
We go on like you said, "Because everything carries on, but the dead!
The hopelessness, the helplessness, no reason nor why?
Do people not understand when they die they are in the land of dead!
We the living can't go there, and they can't come back,
I've often wondered perhaps if they knew this would they still do what they do!
I say "Yes" for you see they are very sick indeed!
Sometimes death for them is a gift to set them free.
That's all the consolation I can find at all!
That' perhaps because they no longer hurt, are tormented, or crying....they are finally at peace.....with their dying!
Beautiful touching few words that say it all.
I'm so sorry! I wish I could give you a great hug!

This is a great write. I like it a lot. And you are right things happen to people everyday but you never expect it to happen to you. Like when my house burnt down i never thought that would happen to me.
