to what sanctuary will you flee
when i ride into town
and where the hell will your heaven go
when i burn the ***** down
no more hollow redemption
to quell your growing guilt
no more lord of flies to justify
the house of lies you've built
bereft of petty salvation
you suffer in the shame of your sins
all hope is lost, you become fodder for the cross
and your martyrdom truly begins
no helping hand to save you now
no divine intervention
you hang upon the tree, like the one you want to be
suffer at the hands of your own invention
centuries of hollow promises
a lifetime of fear-smeared lies
you love everyone, but when i don't submit
you are so quick to crucify
hounded by your rabid dogma
beaten bloody by the book of love
i stand tall, against your thoughtless assault
and i'm not the only one
let me ask you something
who is the real martyr here
the widespread herd
mindlessly following a dead god
or the solitary fiend
who stands in defiance
of the death-obsessed cult of the masses
don't whine of the persecution you face
or how hard it is to be a christian
i live in the buckle of the bible belt
my life has been threatened by the "holy ones"
a bible in my face, and a gun to my head
as you spout hollow scriptures of peace
still, i defy, your god denied
pull the trigger, you'll get an early release
no born again satanist
ever got an early parole
but, murderers who find jesus
are released at the cost of their soul
browbeaten for my hatred of religion
but you hate each other too
waging war on unholy whores
who worship a different god than you
you are just as full of hate as me
just too scared to let it show
i guess if you feel true human emotion
it's off to hell you go
so go ahead, and hide inside
and get used to that plastic smile
it's suffocating you, making you choke
on your own ungodly bile
but, if you're fake for long enough
you'll die and wake in paradise
i hope it's everything you dreamed of
YOU ***** PARASITE

I must admit Roy this was really good however I can't understand why u hate Christians so much. Sure some Christians are like what u described but they are few. Once again a great poem and I loved your comparisons.

joel, i hate them because the ones i described in this write are the ones i'm surrounded by. i really do live in the buckle of the bible belt. and these single-minded hypocrites combine to form the screaming, bleeding walls of my hell. i have actually had my life threatened, and the life of my family, because, at one point, i was a very outspoken satanist. i'm aware that not all christians are assholes. my grandfather is a baptist minister and he's one of the coolest people i know. but, 95% of the ones i'm around, deserve nothing short of the most slow and painful deaths that my distorted mind can invoke.

I LOVE THIS!!!!! you have spoken....having grown up there....hypocrisy soaked hatred...everything they say or do is in honor of their god....not true love.....they should be afraid....very afraid....i rue the day they all come to this realization......

Bravo - this is an incredible write - enjoyed every word of it. I live in an area infested with born - agian Christians - my duaghter married one - since divorced - in his quiet mealy mouth way he hated everyone that wasn't like him - so much for poor god - and brotherly love and all that crap - I am afraid of these people - and they seem to be garnering polictical power - what a terifying thought - keep ranting and raving - we need you
