What do you see mum?
What do you see?
I see the hate in your eyes
When you look at me
Do you see me smiling
Or just see the tears?
And only the anger
Which hides all my fears
Do you have any idea how it feels
How lonely and how forlorn
To grow up in a family
Who wishes you were never born
Do you ever see me smile
And ever wonder why not
I wish that I could smile
But I cant coz I forgot
I dont know how to smile
It is no longer 'me'
When you look at me mum,
Tell me, what do you see?
What did I do mum?
I did nothing to you
Whatever made you hate me mum,
Its made me hate you too.

| aww, this poem is so sad. i really hope that things get better between you and your mom. i don't understand how a mother could hate her own child. anyways, good poem. |
