upon a winters night

I wonder can my eyes ever see a sight as beautiful as that of a moonlit winters night The reflection of the light upon the snow a symbol of virtue and a statuesque show
Lying beneath my window I see a face in the moon smiling back at me I sit up on my elbows and look out upon a cold winters night afraid of the dawn
I think to myself only God could make a scene as beautiful as this that my eyes partake The majesty and robust image of love as the snow falls lightly down from above
Yes! He is a creator of many marvelous things yet none so creative as a snowflaked scene It's image of greatness a sight beyond compare and I look in disbelief and continue to stare
Four o'clock now...Im not even tired Im just looking upon the land with an unfilled desire To be as beautiful as the sight I am seeing knowing in heaven Ill be a pure white being.....

I love this poem! God really did make this world great, huh? When I read it I could see the vision of snow (incredible feat, seeing as how it's summer weather now). Your words were so picturesque.
Loved it!

I really could see this as I felt the same way about snowy winter nights. The feelings are much the same as mine in The Beautiful Snow, but yours is more inspirational, mine more for a child in wonder of the world. Blessings, Bizzy |
