Poetry’s Like Taking a Journey

Contributed by Kimmie_mac on Friday, 12th September 2003 @ 12:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I guess to me poetrys like a journey into anothers life,
To share with others their troubles and strife.
To let others know they feel some of your pain,
That your are not alone in the rain.
For every walk of life is hit by emotions of all kinds,
That everyone needs a chance to be heard and unwind.
I know not everyone feels the same as me,
But I know there are others who see as I see.
People who have been there and theyve done that,
They know how I feel and where I am at.
Im apart of the human race as well as thee,
That we are in this world together whatever may be.
So when we write a line, we are wanting others to know,
That we are together in lifes continuous show.
Beside them through their troubles, that others suffer along,
That the group to which we in the world together belong.
We all have the need to express our pain and hurt and such,
And others just like you and I have suffered just as much.
So if your at the point where you feel alone and blue,
Listen to a poem or a song, thats them reaching out to you.
They want you to know theyve been where you are at now,
But you will get through it like they, some way, some how.

Kimmie I want you to know that you have hit it right on the "head"
I've tried to explain poetry since the first one I ever read!
Never even come close as your poetry here.
It was just marvelous, extraordinarily true, and so touched my heart shed a tear!
Thank you so much for sharing this view with us.....Now I'll always know whenever I share, it means I care....for if I post it, it may just help another soul....one that is wishing or praying, and not knowing what to do....might see my poem....and it will see him through!
So Poets are givers, and lovers, and kind and considerate too.
We poets tell it all....and then help one another through! I just loved your poem...you've inspired who? Everyone!! especially me
and you!!
