Now Castle Throme appeared to view well made.
Beneath the Gunner's Wide Walk seen in moat,
a boat unloading provisions with aid.
Above, the sentires spy work taking note
of grains and beans, pork, cheese the workers tote
to tower under place lords, ladies stay.
This gentry keep is laid west most from boat.
From high embrasure seen last light of day
in coach of fire fast carrying Sol's last golden ray.

This castle moat is fifty feet thus wide,
and told is twenty-seven feet as deep.
It washes outer stone wall high on side
and fosters dwellers safe and restful sleep.
In coldish waters monsters softly creep
to eat and feast on meat that's thrown their way.
Now entry's made south side with gates' strong keep;
guests seek to make that ford without delay.
Following road bridge anxious people dare not stray.
