How long dear Lord can I stay
in this seemingly endless state?
Within Your blissful memories
I live unto this date

If I cannot go upon my way
to stay within your love
Teach me then to You I pray
the ways of Him above

Send me on my journey till
life frees me from these bonds
To do your will in grace until
You see fit to carry me along

Love me still and peaceably true
to lead me in my path
And see me through this world until
we both meet justly rapt

Forgive me father of my sins
and teach me that which is true
See me to the end with love
till I may be with You....
