In Memory of ZACH

Contributed by xlx_chelsea_xlx on Tuesday, 16th September 2003 @ 09:45:00 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

how do you say goodbye to a friend
when you never knew it was the end
the weekend before you two were havin fun
laughin and cry about things you've done
making plans for things to do
snowboarding or seeing an ocean of blue
not thinking that one day they wouldnt be around
cause in this person joy you've found,
but sitting at home watchin tv
someone knocks at the door with words you cannot believe,
so tell me this how do you say goodbye
i need to know as i sit here and sigh,
cause its been 2yrs and i miss my friend
he was my confident, my joy til the end
little does anyone know he was not like any other
you didnt know he was my little brother

Awww that is so so sad. Don't you just hate that feeling. Excellent poem, and it was so good to see that you were close to your brother.
And the legal age for drinking where I live is 18, but I know what you mean about the underage drinking. Peace.
Love Emma.

Where I live it's 19, but either way, alcohol can ruin lives, whether underage or not. If you're going to drink, do so responsibly. Apparently we need to work harder to drill this into people's minds. I'm so sorry for your loss.
