Why I Killed the Barber

Contributed by norm on Saturday, 20th September 2003 @ 05:45:00 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

I went into the barber shop
to get myself a trim,
Much to my displeasure
It was Franco that was in.

Franco's fine if you don't mind,
Alooking like a clown,
Franco seeks equality
He barbers sitting down.

He listens to the Tee Vee
As he scissors here and there,
And if he gets too interested
you lose one ear or pair.

Franco, please, no clippers
I was talking to the wall
I cannot even take a nap
I'd wind up like a ball.

Donchu worry bossa guy,
You gonna get a gooda buy
you just take a little nap
When I done I give you tap.

Now you know why I'm up here,
In these northern woods of Maine,
I can't show my head at all,
I cannot abide the pain.

I guess I'll soon go home again,
I really do not know,
I must really plan to leave this pen
just before the winter snow.

Dear Norm,
I wondered where in the world you went
I couldn't imagine where all the email were sent!
I should have warned you about the barbers in Maine.
It's so cold up there they never see rain,
and when they do it freezes their brain!
We don't mind if you have a bald head
We'd love you if you were bald as Fred.
Just keep writing your poems you understand
You're the funniest poet in all the land!
lovingcritters
Connie
P.S., Dont; kill him Norm Barbers aren't worth all the time...if you go prison....how can you sail....and write us your rhyme!
