Nothing more than slight of hand
Trickery in his palms
Hold me he says
Keep me company tonight
I want to say I love you
But I cannot find the words
And he shows you his sadness
Best lost boy look in his eyes
Beyond redemption or admission
Hes too busy to stay too long
Always leaves you wanting more
While he takes as much as he can
Stuffing his pockets with pictures
So many pretty pictures
Dance for him with coy smiles
And think someday he will be yours
But he disappears in a puff of smoke
If you should ever get too close
He is the game and he never loses
