I wish I could tell you it would be alright
And I wish I could hold you in my arms all night
But Im not sure that will happen, and I dont think it will work
And Im sure youll hate the aftermath, and think that Im a jerk
I wish we could go, with this feeling
Thats woken me up, but has my mind reeling
I wish you could stay, in my arms all night
I wish I could assure you it would be alright
But its not, and it wont, and weve got to stop this game
Of playing with emotions, cause we wont be the same
Door unlocked, and emotions rush in
My head is swimming, because I want to give in
And kiss you long, and tender, and sweet, and get lost
Inside this emotion, but I know whats the cost
Im going to move on, and accept youre my friend
Though I ache at the thought, cause I dont want this to end
