Well well, a huge surprise
Iraq falls apart in front of our eyes
All the intelligence wrong it seems
All easy answers and products of dreams
Did no one think what a target Iraq would be
After the structure was blown apart?
No concept of how hated America was
Did the thinking even start?
And now Bush must crawl in the dirt
Aware that Iraq is a bottomless pit
Cant stay, cant leave
What a catastrophe to weave
No doubt it all seemed so simple back then
When all the plans were laid
Everyone making positive noises
All their egos on parade
Yes sir! Can do! No problem!
You say jump we say how high
The computer game looked easy
But its REAL people who must die
And now the big cover up starts
To show that wrong was right
Talking up the positives
To stop the voters taking fright
Let this be a lesson thats learned real well
That planners will always make the case
For whatever plan make them look good
In the endless career race
When next time all the Presidents men agree
And all the facts are made to fit
Be very very sure you remember
How he brought us to this *****
