fighting for an ending
hanging by a thread
walking on the edge
giving tears away
standing by the fire
trying to get warm
admit to being lost
too far away from home
instead of staying put
pretending it is real
knowing it is not
self-indulgent dreamer
self-destructive act
slipping into darkness
watch the lights go out
without asking why
was this supposed to be
