Backing away, cause we know that we should
Falling away, before it feels too good
Break the connection that drew us near
To each others heart, which is now filled with fear
It hurts me inside, but I know that its right
It stings and it smarts, kept me awake last night
Feelings are shut off, emotions are rushed
Connection disabled, the feelings are crushed
