Tomorrow It Might Be Okay

Contributed by MoonlitAngel on Sunday, 28th September 2003 @ 06:35:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I'm lying in the dark
Just trying so hard
To believe everything's gonna be okay
But I feel it less and less
And everything's a mess
I only want to find a little peace today

Tomorrow could be different
Tomorrow could be better
But until I'm with you I'll sleep it all away
Tomorrow could be mine
Tomorrow could be ours
There's only one thing I need to hear you say
And everything will be okay

I'm walking in the rain
The world looks so plain
It's hard to stand where I once stood with you
I've been waiting forever
It's not getting any better
I can't understand why there's no break for me and you

Tomorrow will be the same
Tomorrow you'll take the blame
Somehow it always stays so far away
Tomorrow I could fall
Tomorrow I might crawl
It's out of my reach even as I sit and pray
For everything to be okay

It's all out of my control
I don't have a hold on it
And what are we gonna do now?
Tell me what I need to hear
Please just ease this constant fear
I've had enough and I need a little light right now

Tomorrow could be terrible
Tomorrow could be bearable
But it's gotta get a little closer every day
Tomorrow might be it
Tomorrow I might quit
But if you say the one thing I need to hear you say
Then everything will be okay

Will it ever come. But one day there that tomorrow will be. Very beautiful poem. Great Write. Keep up the work.
