Against the Odds

Topic: Lifepoems

Against the Odds

I feel the morphing chaos
That controls the data streams
A thunderstorm in the synapses
Giving brief flashes of awareness
In the calm grey of my eyes
Imaginative intuition of the id
Reaching across the chasm
To slap my impotent ego
Into a mind-wiping epiphany
That I am not a by-product
To be secretly disposed of
By clandestine social ignorance
But that I am an uncanny masterpiece
Perfectly flawed through
Accidental bio-chemical experimentation
My existence is a cosmic long shot
Not to be taken for granted
I must drive this bloody mass
Like a personal juggernaut
And avoid the peer pressure
To fall in and behind
On this conveyor belt highway
That sits motionless and crowded
With the congregated flock that refuses
To entertain the concept of living

A little wordy but a very entertaining read. "Perfectly flawed" - I love it! I'm gonna use that!! lol
