Time Stands Still

Grief

The wind has changed from warm to cold. The valentines are laid out on the shelves waiting for cupid's arrow. The lighted sphere made its' way to the bottom in Time's Square. The old has changed over to new. The sod on the ground is mending slowly, but you can still tell. The house so empty without a little girl's chatter. The room so cold to walk through. The baby doll's smile seems less cheerful. The heart so full of deep sadness. The little angel never turns four.

My dear friend Jaymee,
Let no man tell you that you will forget!
You won't, ever forget, but with time you learn to cope, you learn each day with alittle more hope!
That perhaps the day after will be a bit better.
Then you hear a tune, or run onto a letter,
The memories come flooding in, one right after the other!
You start with if, and then whys, and pretty soon even lies....but it doesn't change a thing. You write poetry, you'll always idolize her things, dolls, smiles, even cries.
Your heart sighs, and even dies....and then you just one day wake up and realize....you have to accept......that's the worse part.....you just have accept!
Warm hugs and mugs of hot cider, I love you!lovingcritters....your poem was heartwrenching, touches every harp string of my heart! Death is an enemy, Jaymee....it goes against the grain....no one should have to die, and yet we do! Over and over again. if only we could bring them back?We can't so we just sigh and accept! |

My heart goes out to you as I sit here and read this. I don't think there is any amount of words that could ever and should ever take away the pain you feel inside,but knowing you have friends that care,can ease some of what you feel. {{{{{{jaymee}}}}}}}
Angel always...godspeed...joni |
