The world is peaceful, quiet, still
People go about their lives a at will
Flags in basements, folded, at rest
Not caring that this country is the best
But pride soars and flags unfurled
When terror shakes the world
How sad that thousands must die
In order for the flags to fly
And for people to take pride
In seeing the banner in the sky
Yes, pride soars and flags unfurled
When terror shakes the world
Shall we learn from this, or let it pass?
Will times change, do we dare ask?
The legions of sould, who died in pain
Did they all pass away in vain?
Yes, pride soars and flags unfurled
When terror shakes the world
So may this great nation always be praised
And may the flags remain forever raised
May God bless the red white and blue
And the founding fathers who remain true
Whose pride soared and flags were unfurled
Long before terror shook the world
