DAYS TO THE END
The days are counting down until my doom,
sitting in this cell, is more like a tomb.
Sentenced less then a year ago to death,
my body is shutting down from the lack of rest,
Im cold and Im shaking from head to toe,
no relief for my mind, from the facts that it knows.
the crime Im paying for with my life,
was one I created with my own devise,
I steer at the ceiling by day, cry most of the night,
not having the will or strength to continue to fight.
Taking of a life, was not the thrill I thought it might be,
as I watched a innocent man struggle to breathe,
Watching the life, drain from his eyes,
I knew I created my own demise.
And now the walls are coming in all around me,
and its I, who now struggles to breathe.
The crime I committed, has caused a family great pain,
I know now, their lives will never be the same.
I await my executioner, whomever it might be,
an eye for an eye, for my victims family to see.

It's sad to think that this is going on everyday, Our prisons are so full of those who just wait, thinking of the wrongs they commited and know they must pay one way or another. Sad thing indeed.
