I hear the sound in the wind It is the love lost to sin Her arms hold him tight While his wife cries this night
It leaves the soul run cold The love that is bought and sold A drink or two makes it all right Neon sign burns to morning light
I hear the sound in the wind It is where life begins Only man never wins When passion is the sin
The love is precious sent Worth every dollar spent Sound of beating hearts That is how it starts
I hear the sound in the wind Crying children born again No answer to the claim He or she who was the blame
Rough hands tend the task Children afraid to ask Daddy holds anothers flame Mommys taking the midnight train
I hear the sound in the wind It is the crying of little children
