I've paid a lot to love you
Closed my eyes you all the unlucky odds
And poorly dealt cards that read
Don't save your obsessions
For a vessel not worth pouring them into
I've risked a lot to be here
On these nights when you're restless
And you've given me reason to fear
You're tearing apart your family
You've chosen pride over humility
Pride over sanity
I've lost a lot on loving you
The pennywise won't share
The same slate as the gamblers
Who've rubbed the grain bare
From mistakes to erase with one win,
Which I'm shooting for now
I'm giving a lot in loving you
It is said it is better to give
Than to recieve
But you've worn my heart thin
With the sins you want me to forgive for you
And the freedom you want me to retrieve for you
But paradise has a price
And I'm broke
