The Ocean's Embrace

I take off and run into the darkness Allowing the cold rain to hit my face My cold heart begins to beat very fast But still I continue to keep my pace
I can hear the loud, violent waves crashing Into the cliff's sharp, jagged rocks below Above me the stars are shining bright My reassurance continues to grow
I dare not to look at the steps taken Because I'm afraid of what I will see So I close my eyes and hold out my arms Ready for the ocean's embrace on me
I take one last breath before I plummet Into the darkness, not sure where I'll stop The cool sea breeze ran through and welcomed me I could feel my cold heart begin to drop
It seemed like forever before I reached The secure feeling I've been searching for My problems remain on the rocky cliff My New World is here, on the ocean's floor
