no time to think just words on a paper all scrambled up in a pile while the pen sits there, overused
the words in blue ink make no sense at all the words in black stand out, stand tall
crumpled papers on the floor as I throw another down they've all been done before abandoned like a king, without a crown
the music that once inspired me plays again in the background while I'm left here blank watching the clock go round
the pen hits the paper but only for awhile sentences are written worthy of a smile
words go in and out racing through my mind but its mostly filled with doubt wishing to relax and unwind

Nicely written
------------------------------
Like you, I've been there before,
With papers crumpled on the floor,
The words don't seem to flow at all,
Some more paper, in a ball

A very good poem, it describes my work very well. I have so much unfinished poetry that are just sitting there.
Well done. |

| Definately can relate to this. You've just described my attempts at writing essays on English Literature, urgh how I detest college. In the end I give up and write pages and pages of complete nonsense. Thanks for posting. :-) |

There is not doubt about the clout that strikes a writer cold; for in the plains of words so vast none feel they're so much bold.
Writers block, the curse to all
The wisdom stemmed, the scribbling stalled
A sense that leaves us all appalled
When one can't find that what's-it-called--
Words escape down conscious halls.
The sensation runs strong in your work.
Descriptively done.
"Injured without remedy, the truth is but your enemy."
~The Palatine Poet |
