Speak up now deliver your words quick Confused by this question? How can you be No trick To this Just one word "Why?" Why not me? Just blind? Why can't I see? What's to miss in this So maybe beauty queen crowns don't adorn My simple hair Is that it? Do I have to be beautiful for you to care? Why? Is it because I am always blue? Well, why don't you just try to put on a happy face When the world around you's falling You scream that you need help But no one can hear you calling Why? I can love you like no other can Cause I fell into this coffin months before she knew Of you, of your smell of your taste I watched from that coffin built for two For two, me and you Please just try to care For since you took away my breath These lungs haven't felt a gasp of air Blood has not rushed through a vein Never an impulse sent to my brain No, I lie here coffined in comatose My heart struggling to beat But flatlines have become all too frequent Love's become my body's defeat For that question I die Why?

Wow...
The rhythm of this poem is great and the coffin imagery really grabbed me, you are a very good poet :) |
