I thank God that It's not me

Heres a scene we have all ignored at least one hundred times worn out shoes, dirty ol" jeans and a faded cardboard sign
We pretend not to see them and the sign to which they cleave as we hustle through our cozy lives behind the truth we leave
Such sadness in their tired eyes if we choose to see dirty hands tightly cleanched I thank God that it's not me
