little bottles of alcohol
stashed into her purse
audrey has a fear of running out
so she always comes prepared
illusions of her youth
keep her in the past most days
while those who know and love her
play her silly little games
and the men all fall in love with her
for she invites them in to play
pours them wine and swears
about the good old days
they remember being young and strong
just like audrey says
and they believe again
she has the power to make believers
out of them
misspent youth and drunken haze
deluxe version on cable tv
hit instant replay, stay up all night
audrey will wave the smoke away
high above your head
give you the shirt off her back
but never let you stay
