Color me with every shade of grey
So that I may turn myself inside out
And no one will notice the difference
I am the black that haunts your dreams
The night, the shade, the poison
I am the light that blinds and sears
The sun, the moon, the far away stars
Mixed and lost inside of me
A black hole enveloping
So much hope that even sorrow
Becomes for the first time, self aware
And all this grey that comes from nothing
And all this grey that does not exist
I am made of this
And you are pieces of me
Not here, not now, I know
Wherever I am is where I dont belong
Home is just a dream
Just a place in the back of my mind
That exists only among the realm
Of the long forgotten, of the long since dead
Of the never mourned
Not unlike taking out the trash,
I try to throw myself away
Never knew I had such persistence
I stay and I cry for all that I am
All that Ill ever become
All that Ill never be
I am made of this
And you are pieces of me.

Why does this sound so familiar... Sounds like me lately, inquisitive and dreary-like. Though you sound more poetic than I did in frustration! I like this.
