Death Of My Living Hope

By Ashraf Gohar Goreja

Rise up my fortune star, rise
The vast sky dome is massive and clear
Dusty winds will soon be departing
From the abode of blazing sun
You now grace my impassive and neglected world
With grieve which have made my soul shun

Gleam vividly with perpetual, radiant light
For the orbits of my fate are still in dark
Fatal shadows of immense failure
Stretched day by day, changing years into life
Trumpets of success, I never duly heard
Glory was a dream, success ended in a strife

When will the divine rays diffuse, I ask
Resplendent light of conquest was my only plea
Sublime of ample thoughts was merely an illusion
But still I believe in the miracles of virtuous chore
Steering winds when weave the seasons of hope
They bring good tidings knocking at the door

Rise up my star of fate, rise and avail the scope
Before I declare the death of my living hope
