Did you ever love somebody
Even though they could never love you
The way you loved them
But that didnt mean
That they didnt love you with all that they had?
Did seeing somebody in their most honest moment
Send tears you couldnt control down your face?
Did you ever cry because you werent sad and you werent happy
And youd never been more unsure in your life
And youd never felt more determined or disheartened?
Did someone ever mean so much to you
That there was nothing else you could do
But stay by their side
No matter the pain
Or how hard you knew from the start it would be?
Did you ever wonder if you could really love someone
Even though you knew you already did?
Did you ever want more than anything for them just to feel
Everything that they unknowingly made you feel
And you couldnt say the one thing you wanted them to hear?
Did you ever know that loving someone
Would be the biggest challenge of your life?
And you couldnt find
The right words to say
Just when you knew they needed to hear you speak?
Did you ever long to say the words you feared the most
Because it was nothing compared to the fear
That they would never be able to say it back and mean it?
And is the one person who you need to love you
More than anything the one who can never really love you?
Did loving someone ever confuse you
Because they made you utterly happy
But it made you sad
To know who they were
Because they could never be truly happy?
Did you ever love someone who might never have real feelings
Who you knew you could never understand or be like?
Did you ever love somebody with a madmans mind
Who writes beautiful poetry in moments of insanity?
Because I do and theres nothing I can do but love him

| sounds like you got yourself in more of a predictiment than I did. It's beautiful Dee. I love it, and most people could relate. So he can write poems in moment's of insanity, huh? |
