Good Night
You snuggled up beside me,
Moving your body into mine.
You rest your head on my shoulder,
Knowing that everything will be just fine.
Your sleepy eyes finally close,
As you give into the night.
Holding your tender body,
Everything in the world is right.
Ill carry you to your crib,
Kiss your forehead goodnight.
Ill tell you how much I love you,
As I turn off the light.
Standing by your door,
Its hard to walk away.
Im only across the hall,
But yet I want to stay.
Youre a blessing from above,
Given to your mother and I.
Its hard to leave your side,
But yet Im gonna try.
Good night my precious son,
Stay warm and snuggled tight.
Have a good night of rest,
See you at first light.
