Another Lifetime...

Contributed by LovingWhispers on Thursday, 23rd October 2003 @ 07:54:33 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Gentle rains of October,candlelight,unfinished poems
Are all that keeps her company, each searching for their home
In the shadows lies the answers, yet she dares not cross the line
For within the secrets of the darkness, calls the love of another time

A time when breath has left her,and her spirit passes through beyond
Only then is when she'll hold him,her heart where it belongs
Here and now is for the settling, making good of what she knows
Still every now and then remembering,as the gentle breezes blow

Warm tears will fall upon her cheeks, like the gentle October rains
As in the stillness of her memories, she'll softly call his name
Candlelight will mesmerize ,tempting inspiration for the pen
But she will close her misty eyes, and simply just pretend

Pretend that near her lips, close against her every smile
There he stands before her,as time pauses for a while
Just long enough to taste his kiss, feel his warm embrace
Sigh for his tender touch of hand,as he soothes her tear stained face

Graceful movements of her love, will upon his soul impart
An eternity of longing, that has filled her aching heart
He will feel her colours rush,as she sinks beneath his skin,
Blending bodies, hearts and souls, fulfilling dreams within

Their every word unspoken,is cradled within each kiss
And of any fantasy awoken, none could be more than this
They only have mere moments, precious glimpses of what could be
As her eyes now open to the candle, she dreams alone, without he

The candle flickers and dances, for in inspiration,it found a home
October rains, make love to the earth as she gives birth to an unfinished poem
She writes of love farewelled, before hello was given a chance
This night alone she pens her tears, for a lifetime lost romance
