You promised me we'd always stay close
even after we broke apart
You promised me there'd be no tears
and you'd sweep the pieces of my broken heart
You promised me we'd still be friends
and that our relationship would never end
But things aren't exactly like what you said
and I don't know what was wrong with my head...
When I decided to believe you
and that all the things you said were true
Why did I believe those words?
because you just left me out for the birds.
Now when you come crawling back to me
you can just get down on your knees
Because I want someone who cares for me
and when I can look at their face and see...
Whatever it is in their eyes
so I can know they're not like other guys...
Who break me heart
and dont catch my tears
