Ive prayed for a sign to show Whats not shown And something to teach me What Ive never known Every lonesome day Is slowly killing me Its doing everything But thrilling me Despite it all, They say itll be alright I only want To be home tonight Nothing can compare To the pain of this And everything thats good is gone And that I miss
All the life within me has turned to brown I wait for the day to end and the sun to go down Im countin on a miracle to pull me through But now Im thinking, what good will it do?
A bitter wave of misery Washes over my every thought At least I knew I had tried And even had fought
