By starlight, I saw you
I first knew who you were
Something in your voice
Told me you were never sure
And soon I got to become
A little more then attached
No person Ive ever known
Could have ever matched

And I know there are times you think of me
How could you not, after what we came to be?
And I know you have the same problem as I
You dream of me, and when you dont, you cry

By starlight, I needed you
I first knew that you needed me there
Something in your eyes told me
That you truly care
And soon I got to become
More then a little head over heels
Nothing could ever compare
To the way this feeling feels

And I know there are times you think of me
How could you not, after what we came to be?
And I know you have the same problem as I
You dream of me, and when you dont, you cry

By starlight, I love you
For the first time in my being
I heard words not meant to be hearing
I saw things not meant to be seeing
By starlight, I found truth
And thats all you were, did, and said
By starlight, I couldnt live without
The thought of you in my head

And every second we were together
Is a memory that lives on
By starlight, we became everything we are
By daylight, you were gone
