You made me laugh
You helped me cry.
You fought for me;
I don't know why.

You gave me life
You helped me cheer.
You made me see
The world so clear.

You gave me faith
In my own stock.
You helped me fight;
You are my rock.

I used to fear
The great unknown
You gave me strenght
To stand on my own.

I'm still afraid
To face my fears.
I'm still trying
To hold in the tears.

I still feel fear
Sometimes I'm blue
But all I need
Is my rock-that's you.

A truly touching poem. My grandmother died in July, but she had always insisted we didnt' have a funeral for her. She didn't want a fuss made. The other day we scattered some of her ashes in her garden, but I still can't completly absorb that she is dead. I guess it is because there was no funeral. My grandfather is getting sicker and sicker by the day and I am afraid of losing him aswell. Anyway as I said, a very touching poem

i love how you started this beautiful poem about your grama, i used to wonder why mine loved me so much, too, she was very sweet, theres something to be said for those of us blessed with that kind of love, from one so special, on the day my grama died we were hundreds of miles apart and i just knew, woke up from a dream, we were so close, as you were too, thank you for the sweet memories of someone so dear to me, reading your loving poem:) hugs n' love nessa
