Neither of us mentioned
a thing about 'The Deed,'
I knew
HE knew
I knew
about it
so speaking had no need
and silent was the way we faced...
The Deed.
Neither of us ever
said a word about The Pain,
I wore his knife as if for life
my BACK had been The same,
I wore it like a bandage so that
I wouldn't bleed...
and neither of us
spoke about...
The Deed.
Neither of us said a word
about what he had done,
never mentioning the lies,
betrayal
or love gone,
we just both ignored my battered heart,
and neither of us mentioned
how our closeness fell APART.
I went on with life
pretending
hoping there would be
no ending,
and neither of us spoke about....
The Deed.
Looking back I wonder if
I should have spoken,
would it be that I'd NOW be
much stronger or less broken?
Our try to mend our life did not succeed,
and still I hold (at end of road,)
untold,
UNTOLD...
